Need a new notch in the BELT!

Hello world!  This past week went by pretty fast it seemed.  Was my best weight loss week in a couple weeks which helped.  By Tuesday of this week at the latest I should drop below the 200 lb mark!  Weighed in at 200.8 this morning.  Possible to be below 200 tomorrow but this is an off day from the gym so I am just taking it easy.

This week in the gym, I did weights 2 days.  Got in a good chest and triceps workout and then a fairly good leg workout.  I did at least an hour of cardio each day Monday-Friday.  On Thursday I started training with the group at Genesis.  They train in boxing and MMA.  Between my workouts with them on Thursday and Friday my body was ready for the weekend and off days.  I did not know you had so many muscles in your arm.  I swear I have like 100 of them sore and tender.  It is a good sore though.  Everything I have learned is pretty basic so far but very interesting.  Being able to punch a bag for 15-20 minutes solid really is a nice way to end an evening.  Stress relief x10.

I really plan to focus a little more on weights this week during my morning workouts as I feel like my night training sessions give me a good amount of cardio.  Probably will try this week to do about 30/70 split cardio/weights.  Just want to keep the weight coming off like it is and turn what I can into muscle along the way.  I also am going to do a lot more stretching.  My 37 yo body just doesn't bend like it did 20 years ago, but it will in time.

Well, I must say I am having a lot of fun and enjoying getting my body back to a healthy state.  It's not easy but it gets easier everyday.  When you see the changes in your body as well as feeling the changes it does motivate you to keep going back.  When the lbs start falling off then it makes it even easier.  I know my next 30 lbs will be a big challenge but its the challenge I signed up for and one I fully intend to conquer.

OK, that's it. I hope you all had a great weekend, and hope your work week comes and goes so you can enjoy your next weekend with family and friends.

Til the next time,
Darren
