Well I believe last Thursday was my last day to blog, so I have a little catching up to do. Thursday when I woke up I literally felt like I had been hit by a train then smashed by a semi while being beat on by the Crowe brothers again. Yep that bad. I was going to take the day off from the gym and then began feeling guilty. So Dylan and I got our baths and headed to the gym. Got about 45 minutes of cardio in and some VERY LIGHT weights. On Friday back to the gym it was feeling a little better but definitely ready for the weekend off from the gym. Friday, did about 35 minutes of cardio and then a light workout with Chris.
During the weekend Dylan and I took it pretty easy. Had some beautiful weather so we played outside. I think we both needed this as our time locked inside had about taken our toll on one another!!! Saturday and Sunday came and went and my legs and body felt much better.
Today is Monday and we headed to the gym about 11. Got about 50 minutes of cardio in when Chris showed up. We did about an hour of weights and I went to tan. Fat and tan is better than fat and white. One of these days I might be able to even say fit and tan. OK maybe husky and tan. Anyways the cardio felt good and I will be back tonight and gonna push for at least an hour.
Marcy text over the weekend and said they were having fights in Chillicothe in March. I don't think I will be ready by then so gonna have to pass on those. Hopefully by the next time they come to North Missouri I will be ready. I know some of you think I'm crazy for even trying and some of you have voiced that but I have my reasons for doing this. Stay tuned as I may tell you why later this week.

Good Morning!
Well good morning everyone! Yesterday we did legs-right now I'm walking like I 'got butt raped by a 8 foot wide moth'. Stole that from a radio show! I did go back up last night and got another 45 minutes of cardio in on the bike. Nothing like listening to the President of the United States while trying to workout, but I figured he deserved a bit of my attention. Plus my phone was dead so I couldn't listen to music.
I got my first protein shake from the gym yesterday. It was 'No Bake Cookie' flavored. Awesome. If I can have that while working out I won't need junk food.
Well not much information really. I will not be posting everyday here--possibly every 2-3 days going forward but my legs told me I should post today!
Have a good one,
Darren

Time to shape it up!
OK, well by now some of you know I am in the process of losing weight! For 3 reasons, I want to be healthier, I want to train to fight at least 1 fight in MMA, and I want to be able to keep up with my son Dylan. That little guy is fast! During this process of losing my goal of 46 lbs I am going to keep a blog not only so I can keep track but so some of you who may be wanting to do the same thing can gain your motivation. For those of you who are already in the process please feel free to post your ideas, what has worked for you, or any suggestions you may have for myself or anyone who may read this. Thanks!
So I started on January 8th by throwing out all my COCA COLA and beginning to eat at home more rather that fast food or buffets! I immediately lost 6 lbs in the first week. That's the only thing I changed! The 2nd week I started to work out at the gym with a past coworker. My first day I hurt my shoulder---old fart syndrome I guess. So during my 2nd week I did one chest workout and 1 leg workout and 'some' cardio. I did not lose any weight during the 2nd week. My eating habits were still being worked on as well as I did eat out a couple times on preplanned trips out.
Now on to my 3rd week--still down about 6 lbs from where I started. On Monday we got a chest workout in and about 45 minutes cardio during the day. After working on some vinyl designs and chasing Dylan around I decided I was ready for another cardio workout so off to the gym I went. All the elliptical machines were full so I got on a stationary bike. Before leaving I had done a solid 50-52 minutes of cardio. Man I felt good for about an hour--then I couldn't keep my eyes open. Off to bed I went. I must admit I sleep much better without the soda and junk food as well as working out.
So today is January 25th and about to head to the gym before to long. As of now I am down 8 lbs and would like to make that 12 before the weekend. We will see.
Til another day,
Darren
