Broke the 200 mark

Well I finally broke the 200 lb mark.  I actually weighed in Thursday at 196 but was 198 today.  Yesterday I couldn't get enough food! So I was glad to only be 198.

I know in my last post I said I was going to start doing more lifting but I lied.  I did all cardio this week.  The lifting for me is very tough without someone there to push me.  However the cardio workouts were very good this week.  I began taking a pre-workout drink and the days I took it I burnt about 100-125 more calories in my 60 minutes on the bike than days I don't take it.  So it helps for sure.

As far as the training in the evenings I got 2 days in this week.  The trainer had a Valentines date on Monday and on Friday him and one of his boxers took off for Youngstown, Ohio for a fight tonight.  I do feel like I am starting to get more comfortable in a boxing stance.  After 15 years of wrestling it is really hard to stay in a boxing stance.  My punches seem to be getting better and with more force.  Conditioning is getting better but I have a long ways to go.  There is a lot of knowledge in my training group and I hope to learn as much as I can from them all.

By Friday my body was sore, tired and just about ready to give out on me, so I pampered myself by getting a 60 minute massage.  Not really sure I have ever felt that good in my life. I will be going back for another one I am sure.  I was going to take it easy for the weekend but woke up and felt the need to get a workout in so I just got back not to long ago from a good workout.  Met with a personal trainer at the gym and we have an appointment for Monday.  Hoping to get measured, body fat, all that good stuff as well as a little more precise plan on getting this 37 yo body to 170 and fighting condition.

Not sure I have mentioned this before but for any of you looking to lose some weight or just track what your eating---check out myfitnesspal.com or download the app on your Droid, Blackberry, or iPhone.  I use the app on my Droid as well as the website when at home.  Awesome and easy to use.  Tracks your workouts, food, water.....you name it.  Takes me less than 2 minutes to enter a meal and workout.  The more you use it the quicker it is also as it remembers your meals.  If you download it feel free to add me as a fitness pal.  My user name is duck1973.  One thing I have found out about all of this---it's not about eating LESS, it's about eating the right things.  OK--so I had 1 of Dylan's Hershey bars yesterday that his Aunt Marcy sent him.  However there are many things you can eat that crave those types of cravings.  I changed my diet so much though that I wasn't getting enough calories.  So myfitnesspal helps with that.  I always know how many calories I am at for the day and what I have left after each meal and workout.  Check it out for yourself.

I want to say thanks to those of you who text, call or message me on facebook with words of encouragement.  It definitely has helped.

Well, it's time for me to go! Hoping everyone has a great and safe weekend.
